What was the goal?
Austin Food Master needed a streamlined internal WMS (Warehouse Management System) to improve accuracy and efficiency in inventory management, packing, and shipping. Off-the-shelf solutions were too bulky or expensive for their needs, so they required a custom system that matched their specific warehouse flow and operations.
Solution:
Process Mapping & Goal Alignment: We worked closely with the Austin Food Master team to understand their warehouse flow, key bottlenecks, and operational pain points — from inventory intake to outbound shipping.
UX/UI Design for Speed & Clarity: We designed a lightweight, intuitive interface specifically for warehouse staff — optimized for speed, minimal clicks, and use on tablets or industrial monitors.
Custom WMS Development: We built the full system from scratch, including modules for inventory tracking, batch management, pick-pack-ship workflow, and real-time order status updates.
Deployment & Onboarding: We deployed the system on their internal network and trained their warehouse team for immediate adoption — with full support and iteration after rollout.
Results:
The collaboration between Company XYZ and WeConsult yielded remarkable results, transforming the company's digital presence and business performance:
Significant Accuracy Improvement Inventory errors dropped by 45%, reducing loss and ensuring better stock reliability across all warehouse operations.
Faster Fulfillment Workflow The new WMS system accelerated pick-and-pack speed by 30%, helping the team handle more orders with the same staffing level.
Smooth Team Adoption With a simple and intuitive interface, the system reached 100% adoption by warehouse staff within the first week of launch — with minimal training required.
Summing up
This project demonstrates WalksonWood’s strength in building lean, high-impact internal systems tailored to operational needs. By designing around real warehouse behavior, we delivered a WMS that helped Austin Food Master scale more efficiently and confidently.
